Welcome to StudentConnector.com, a free service for present and past students and their friends and families. You must read and agree to these conditions of use before accessing our site. This is a conditional use agreement and by visiting and using this website, you are agreeing with the full contents of this agreement. Conditions are subjects to change at anytime and they become immediately effective upon posting.
When you register for any service within the Student Connector.com site you agree to all of the Terms and Conditions of Use of this Agreement.
Acceptance of Agreement
Please read the following Agreement carefully, as it forms the agreement between us. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE, YOU MAY NOT USE THE SERVICE AND SHOULD NOT PROCEED TO REGISTER. BY USING THE SERVICE YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT.
a. Electronic Agreement. This Agreement is an electronic contract that sets out the legally binding terms of your use of the Website and your membership in the Service. This Agreement may be modified by the Student Connector.com from time to time, such modifications to be effective upon posting by the Student Connector.com on the Website. By accessing the Website or becoming a Member, you accept this Agreement and agree to the terms, conditions and notices contained or referenced herein.
b. Electronic Form. By accessing the Website or becoming a Member, you consent to have this Agreement provided to you in electronic form.
User Agreement
This Agreement constitutes your agreement with the StudentConnector.com with respect to your use of the Service. You must agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement in order to become or remain an authorized user of the Service. As used in this Agreement, "we" and "us" means the Student Connector or any successor or assignee of the Student Connector.
Rights of Use
Your right to use the Service is subject to the limitations, conditions and restrictions established by us from time to time, in our sole discretion. We may alter, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, including the availability of any Service feature, database or content. We may also impose limits on certain features and aspects of the Service or restrict your access to parts or all of the Service without notice or liability.
Eligibility
The Student Connector is not directed to children under the age of 13. We prohibit registration by and will not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If we later learn that a child under the age of 13 is a member, the child’s membership will be terminated. We collect, use and disclose information about minors aged 13 to 18 in the same manner as we do for adults. The Student Connector believes that it is especially important to protect children’s privacy online and encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children to participate and monitor their Internet activity. If you are under 18, you must obtain your parent’s permission before disclosing any information about yourself to anyone on the Site or elsewhere on the Internet. It is the parent’s responsibility to monitor all aspects of this site’s content and use.
WARNING – The Student Connector does not conduct felony or sexual offense background check on our members. We do not verify any of the information provided to us.
User Conduct
The user must understand that all contents (information, data, text, photographs, videos, music, graphics and/or other materials) transmitted through the Student Connector are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. The Student Connector does not control or prescreen the contents sent via the video netphone service; therefore, the user is entirely responsible for all contents that he/she publishes. The user must also understand that it is possible for him/her to receive content that is offensive, objectionable or indecent. The Student Connector will not be liable for any such content.
Users shall recognize that they have the responsibility of evaluating and bearing the risks associated with the content’s (that is shared and used) reliability, accuracy, usefulness, purpose and comprehensiveness. Consequently, users shall understand that they cannot entirely depend on the transmission of service.
The user agrees not to use the service to:
a. send any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk” mails, “spam”, “chain letters” or any form of unsolicited distribution.
b. publish any message with contents that are harmful, abusive, harassing, vulgar, privacy invasive, obscene, libelous or hateful.
c. send any material that contains software viruses or any files or programs designed to interrupt or destroy any computer software or hardware.
d. use the service to harass or “stalk” another or otherwise cause harm to another.
e. impersonate or represent another person.
f. solicit sexual images or material harmful to minors.
g. the user further agrees not to data scrape, copy, redistribute, alter or reproduce any content for commercial purposes including the selling of information to third parties. You agree not to use any content or offer any service or products to the Student Connector users. Content that is publicly available on the Student Connector may not be stored in a computer. You can store personal and non commercial content on your computer, however, your private storage can be accessed by the Student Connector to investigate complaints or by a court order.
The Student Connector provides the free service for informational and communicational use. You agree that such services are not to be used for medical, legal or financial purposes. You agree not to rely on the services for communication performances of any kind.
Proprietary Rights of Content
The Student Connector owns and retains proprietary rights in this site including the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information. Except for information which is in the public domain or for which you have been given permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display or sell any such proprietary information.
Personal Use by Members/Users
The Student Connector site is for the personal use of individual members and users only and may not be used by members in connection with any commercial enterprise. Illegal and/or unauthorized uses of the site, including unauthorized framing or linking to the site or the sending of unsolicited bulk commercial email is a breach of use and appropriate legal action will be taken, including without limitation, civil and criminal procedures. You may not allow any other person to use your password to the Net Number Service.
Content Posted on the Site
The Student Connector a) claims immunity from liability to the fullest extent under the law and as provided under the Communications Decency Act for Content provided by members and users and nothing in this Agreement is intended to waive, remove, or usurp such immunity. You understand and agree the Student Connector may delete any content, messages, photos or profiles (collectively, “Content”) that in our judgment violates the Agreement of Use or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of its members and users.
b) states that you are solely responsible for the content that you publish or display (hereinafter, “post”) on the Student Connector or transmit to members.
c) states that by posting content to any public part of this site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, the Student Connector and its members, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, copy perform, display and distribute such information, rights of publicity, and content to all posted content.
d) states that you agree not to transmit any content that is trademarked or copyrighted by anyone other than yourself.
Termination
You may terminate your registration at any time by contacting us. The Student Connector reserves the right to terminate your access to the site for any reason or for no reason.
Warranties
No warranty is made by the Student Connector regarding information, services, products and the Student Connector hereby disclaims any and all warranties including, but not limited to accuracy, reliability and permission to conduct service.
Indemnification
You agree to protect and fully compensate the Student Connector and their service providers from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages, expenses and costs (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys fees) arising from your misuse of the services, your violation of the terms or your infringement or infringement by any other user of your account, of any intellectual property or other right of anyone.
Limitations on Liability
You agree that we will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages or any loss of revenue, profits or loss of data arising with this agreement and its use.
Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, U.S.A., and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue in the State Courts as well as the Federal jurisdiction. Notices may be given by electronic publishing or message posting.
Miscellaneous
You agree that the Student Connector may transfer all your account and personal information to any of our websites in the NetVision Network.
Use of The Student Connector
StudentConnector.com can be used by all students, both present and past, including family and friends. There are not costs to call anyone, anywhere, at anytime.
